Another famous F1 racing team is Williams Racing. This team was founded in 1977 by Frank Williams and Patrick Head. It is an English based team and is one of the longest running teams in F1 alongside Ferrari and Mclaren. 

Frank Williams made Williams Racing after his first team, Frank Williams Racing Cars, failed to achieve success. A new owner came around in 1976, Walter Wolf who was a Canadian Millionaire helped rebrand the team, but still the cars were not competitive enough. Frank eventually recruited Patrick Head to work for the team which was the actual start of the Williams Racing. 

Their debut F1 race was the 1977 Spanish Grand Prix and used the March chassis for Patrick Neve. Williams started making their own cars the next year. The team won their first ever race in the 1979 British Grand Prix and a little less than 20 years later, the team took home their 100th race win during the 1997 British Grand Prix. 

Some famous F1 drivers that raced with Williams include Alan Jones, Jenson Button, Alain Prost, Aryton Senna, and so many more. They have 9 Constructor’s Championships and 7 Driver’s Championships. 

Last season, the team placed 7th overall and for the past seasons, Williams Racing have not been doing the best. Their current drivers include Alex Albon and Logan Sargent. 

Alex Albon is a Thai-British F1 driver who has been in F1 since 2019. He first raced with Toro Rosso and Red Bull Racing before moving to the Williams team. He currently has no race wins and has only ever had two podium finishes. He is the lead driver at the Williams team and is the reason that Williams finished 7th in the 2023 season. This season, he has already crashed multiple times and has yet to score any points for Williams. 

Logan Sargent is an American F1 driver who has been in F1 since 2023. He did not do the greatest in his rookie season, but thanks to James Vowles, he was given another chance to compete in the 2024 season. Sargent has scored one point at the The United States Grand Prix when Leclerc and Hamilton got disqualified from the race. 

The current team principal of Williams Racing is James Vowles. Before joining Williams, he was the motorsport strategy director at Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team. He then moved over to Williams in 2023 and has improved the team a bunch. He brought a new sense of revival to the team that Williams desperately needed and the team looks like it is headed back in the right direction. He cares for the drivers and the team which is helping Williams move up in the championships. 

I hope Williams will continue to improve and that Vowles will continue to lead in them right direction. It would be so awesome to see Williams competing back on top again with Ferrari, Red Bull, and Mclaren.
